Mayor Faust informed Mrs. <br />Orcutt-Baker the Housing Resource Center allows residents to do home improvements if their <br />income is below $87,000. He stated her other option is to take advantage of a tax law in the <br />State of Minnesota. If her income were under $60,000, she would only pay I% of your real estate <br />taxes. He informed Mrs. Orcutt -Baker the City is willing to help if she would come to us. The <br />Council heard her concerns and are sensitive to her, on other hand, there are other things the <br />Council must do to keep the City in good working order. He recommends she meet with <br />someone at City Hall that can give her the adequate answers she needs. <br />INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />Mayor Faust heard from an individual on Skycroft who appreciates branching from Hennepin <br />County to Ramsey County. He reports continually hearing people say they appreciate the ability <br />to recycle these items. <br />Mayor Faust received a note from former Vice President Mondale thanking him for the <br />wonderful time with the people from Finland. <br />Mayor Faust received a thank you from the school for recognizing the girls' softball and boys' <br />baseball teams. <br />City Manager Momson reminded the City Council of the regular meeting with the school board <br />on August 29, 2006 at the school. <br />Councilmember Horst restated do not forget Village Fest next week. <br />MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATIONAL DOCUMENTS. <br />None. <br />ADJOURNMENT. <br />Mayor Faust adjourned the meeting at 8:58 p.m. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />
