City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 22, 2011 <br />Page 5 <br />2 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve 2011 goals. <br />4 Motion carried unanimously. <br />6 D. Fire Department 2010 Annual Report. John Malenick, Fire Chief, presenting, <br />8 Fire Chief Malenick presented the Fire Department's 2010 Annual Report. The report covered <br />9 the following information: Emergency Calls; Types of Medical Calls; 2010 Working Fire Calls; <br />10 2010 Fire Loss; 2010 Loss Per Fire; Department Training; Community; and, Emergency <br />11 Management. <br />12 <br />13 Fire Chief Malenick answered questions of the City Council in regard to determination of the <br />14 appropriate fire truck to be used for fire calls, rental inspections, grants, and response times. <br />15 <br />16 Mayor Faust thanked Fire Chief Malenick and the Fire Department for their dedication. <br />17 <br />18 E. Police Department 2010 Annual Report. John Ohl, Police Chief, presenting. <br />19 <br />20 Police Chief Ohl presented the Police Department's 2010 annual report. The report covered the <br />21 following information: St. Anthony Part I Crimes; St. Anthony Part II Crimes; Other <br />22 Calls /Incidents of Interest; Patrol Review; Investigation Review; Education Summary; Police <br />23 Reserves; and Crime Prevention. <br />24 <br />25 Police Chief Ohl provided information on the benefits the City receives from the Police <br />26 Department's collaborative efforts with St. Anthony, Lauderdale and Falcon Heights. <br />27 <br />28 Mayor Faust encouraged residents to contact the police if they observe anything suspicious. He <br />29 noted there were zero violations in the City with the sale of tobacco to juveniles. He thanked <br />30 Police Chief Ohl and the Police Department for the work they do for the City and encouraged <br />31 residents to contact the City regarding opportunities to be involved in the Citizens' Academy. <br />32 <br />33 VII.
