City Council Regular Meeting Minutes October 25, 2016 Page 3 Motion carried 5 -0. 4 C. P Quarter Goals Update. 6 City Manager Casey presented an update on the City of St. Anthony Goals Chart — 2016 7 Strategic Initiatives. It was noted a two -day goal setting process was held on January 14 -15, 8 2016. Mr. Casey summarized some of the goals status since the last update in July 2016. 9 10 Mayor Faust noted on the Explore Pharmaceuticals drop off site goal, State law was passed to 1 I allow pharmacies to take back prescription drugs and asked if Walgreens was currently doing 12 that. Mr. Casey stated Walgreens is working on some issues. 13 14 Mayor Faust commented on the advanced oxidation plant project and how fast the project is 15 coming along since the discovery of 1,4- Dioxane in March of 2015. He emphasized how 16 important the project is and how fast the project was able to get started. 17 18 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 19 20 City Manager Casey reported one of the five bias awareness trainings were held. There will be 21 150 persons trained over the five sessions. The next one will be held on Thursday. 22 23 City Manager Casey stated the Body Cam Work Group application deadline was last week and 24 there were 12 applications received. The applications are being reviewed. 25 26 City Manager Casey reported on the advanced oxidation plant a signed agreement was received 27 for $10.5M and the check is in the mail. 28 29 Councilmember Brever stated she attended the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee 30 Meeting on October 24, 2016. On October 17, 2016, the Collaborative Group met to further 31 discuss the work with Racial Equities Network MN. 32 33 Councilmember Jenson stated on October 12, 2016 and October 19, 2016 he attended the 34 Kiwanis Meetings. On October 24, 2016, he attended the St. Anthony Fire Department 35 Retirement Fund meeting. 36 37 Councilmember Stille stated on October 24, 2016 he attended the Comprehensive Plan Steering 38 Committee Meeting. The sustainability chapter was discussed. The Industrial Park was also 39 reviewed. 40 41 Councilmember Gray stated on October 13, 2016 he attended the North Suburban 42 Communications Commission and Access Corporation meeting and the 2017 budget was 43 approved. The City's contribution to the Commission is not increasing. 44 45 Mayor Faust noted on October 12, 2016 he attended the ULI Board of Directors Meeting. Some 46 of the incidents of July 6, 2016 were discussed. He attended the first Bias Awareness Training. 47 The employees accepted the training overwhelmingly.
