Final Reading and Adoption. 3 <br /> 4 <br />City Manager Casey reviewed this is the final reading and adoption of the ordinance amending 5 <br />Chapters 33 and 91 to remove the requirement of dog licensing from the City Code. The 6 <br />requirement of rabies vaccinations will remain. It was noted that no letters or comments had been 7 <br />received. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to hold Third Reading 10 <br />and adoption of Ordinance No. 2016-05; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 33 and Chapter 91 to 11 <br />Remove the Dog Licensing Requirements. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Motion carried 4-0. 14 <br /> 15 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS 16 <br /> 17 <br />City M anager Casey provided an update on four initiatives including: 18 <br />• Body Cam Workgroup – once all members are determined the first meeting will be held in 19 <br />January 2017. 20 <br />• Bias Awareness Training – the fifth and final session will occur in a couple of weeks. 21 <br />• Department of Justice Collaborative Reform Request – a request has been made and response 22 <br />has not yet been received. 23 <br />• Family Services Collaborative – he attended their Board Meeting along with Councilmember 24 <br />Brever. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Councilmember Stille reported on November 9, he attended the Urban Land Institute Economic 27 <br />Update. The City Manager was also in attendance. On November 13, Kristin Seaman attended a 28 <br />Forum for Sustainability at Nativity Lutheran Church. On November 15, he attended a school 29 <br />meeting that Councilmember Brever had informed the Council about. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Councilmember Gray had no report. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Councilmember Brever stated on November 13, she attended the annual meeting for the Sister 34 <br />City Organization. On November 15, the Working Collaborative Group met with the Racial 35 <br />Equity Minnesota Network to review the proposal. Their Board unanimously funded Phase 1 of 36 <br />this proposal. She provided a summary of the proposal. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Faust reported on November 9, he attended the Mississippi Water Management Board 39 <br />Meeting/Annual Meeting where the budget was approved. On November 11, he attended a 40 <br />Veterans Day Program orchestrated by Councilmember Brever at the Middle School. On 41 <br />November 15, City Manager Casey, Councilmember Jenson, and Mayor Faust attended the 42 <br />Greater MSP Fifth Annual Meeting. On November 21, he attended a Holiday Train Meeting and 43 <br />noted on December 10 (at 7 p.m.) there will be a Holiday Train brought to the Lions Park on 37th 44 <br />and Stinson.
