Ordinance 2016 -05: an Ordinance Amending Chapter 33 and Chanter 91 to Remove the <br />Dog Licensing Requirement. Final Reading and Adoption. <br />7 City Manager Casey reviewed this is the final reading and adoption of the ordinance amending <br />8 Chapters 33 and 91 to remove the requirement of dog licensing from the City Code. The <br />9 requirement of rabies vaccinations will remain. It was noted that no letters or comments had been <br />10 received. <br />11 <br />12 Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to hold Third Reading <br />13 and adoption of Ordinance No. 2016 -05; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 33 and Chanter 91 to <br />14 Remove the Dog Licensing Requirements. <br />15 <br />16 Motion carried 4 -0. <br />17 <br />18 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />19 <br />20 City Manager Casey provided an update on four initiatives including: <br />21 . Body Cam Workgroup — once all members are determined the first meeting will be held in <br />22 January 2017. <br />23 • Bias Awareness Training — the fifth and final session will occur in a couple of weeks. <br />24 • Department of Justice Collaborative Reform Request — a request has been made and response <br />25 has not yet been received. <br />26 • Family Services Collaborative — he attended their Board Meeting along with Councilmember <br />27 Brever. <br />28 <br />29 Councilmember Stille reported on November 9, he attended the Urban Land Institute Economic <br />30 Update. The City Manager was also in attendance. On November 13, Kristin Seaman attended a <br />31 Forum for Sustainability at Nativity Lutheran Church. On November 15, he attended a school <br />32 meeting that Councilmember Brever had informed the Council about. <br />33 <br />34 Councilmember Gray had no report. <br />35 <br />36 Councilmember Brever stated on November 13, she attended the annual meeting for the Sister <br />37 City Organization. On November 15, the Working Collaborative Group met with the Racial <br />38 Equity Minnesota Network to review the proposal. Their Board unanimously funded Phase 1 of <br />39 this proposal. She provided a summary of the proposal. <br />40 <br />41 Mayor Faust reported on November 9, he attended the Mississippi Water Management Board <br />42 Meeting /Annual Meeting where the budget was approved. On November 11, he attended a <br />43 Veterans Day Program orchestrated by Councilmember Brever at the Middle School. On <br />44 November 15, City Manager Casey, Councilmember Jenson, and Mayor Faust attended the <br />45 Greater MSP Fifth Annual Meeting. On November 21, he attended a Holiday Train Meeting and <br />46 noted on December 10 (at 7 p.m.) there will be a Holiday Train brought to the Lions Park on 371h <br />
