This used to be higher than 51 %. Mayor Faust <br />thanked staff who go out of their way to find ways to get grants without a grant writer. <br />► 7 D] 01 IR &101 MIMI <br />VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />9 A. Resolution 16 -090: a Resolution Approving the 2017 Appointments and the Chair and <br />10 Vice Chair to the Parks Commission. <br />11 <br />12 City Manager Casey reviewed the City Council conducted interviews for the 2017 appointments <br />13 to the Parks Commission and will appoint Mamie Overman to the Parks Commission beginning <br />14 January 1, 2017 for a three -year term. By approval of this resolution, the City Council will <br />15 appoint Scott Bentz as Chair and Erin Jordahl Redlin as Vice Chair of the Parks Commission for <br />16 2017. <br />17 <br />18 Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />19 16 -090; a Resolution Approving the 2017 Appointments and Appointing: the Chair and Vice Chair <br />20 to the Parks Commission. <br />21 <br />22 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />23 <br />24 B. Resolution 16 -09; a Resolution Approving the 2017 Appointments and the Chair and <br />25 Vice Chair to the Planning Commission. <br />26 <br />27 City Manager Casey reviewed the City Council conducted interviews for the 2017 appointments <br />28 to the Planning Commission and will appoint Dominic Papatola and Dan Bartel to the Planning <br />29 Commission beginning January 1, 2017 for a three -year term. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />40 <br />41 City Manager Casey provided an update on the Racial Equity Initiatives including Data <br />42 Collection, Body Cam Workgroup, Bias Awareness Training, Collaborative Reform Request to <br />43 DOJ, and Family Services Collaborative. <br />44 <br />45 Councilmember Gray stated last Tuesday, he attended the North Suburban Communications <br />46 Commission Strategic Planning Committee Meeting. <br />47 <br />
