City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 10, 2017 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />City departments, elected and appointed officials and contracted staff. Staff and elected officials 1 <br />from Falcon Heights and Lauderdale also attended. In all, 137 individuals attended the sessions. 2 <br /> 3 <br />The facilitators from the Racial Equity Minnesota Network distributed a survey for attendees to 4 <br />complete and have compiled feedback received from the attendees that the City staff Equity 5 <br />Committee will review and share with staff and ultimately use to guide next steps as a City on 6 <br />this topic. 7 <br /> 8 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 9 <br /> 10 <br />City Manager Casey reported tonight is the listening session for the Department of Justice at the 11 <br />High School. There will be another session tomorrow evening in Lauderdale. The City wants to 12 <br />hear from all St. Anthony residents on how they feel about the St. Anthony Police Department. 13 <br />There is a link on the website for an email address for those wishing to email their comments. 14 <br />The email will be forwarded to the Department of Justice and it will be reviewed. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Councilmember Brever stated she attended the January 6, 2017, the community conversation 17 <br />with the DARE to be Real students. On January 8, 2017, she attended the Sister City Meeting. 18 <br />She noted next week the Family Services Collaborative Group will be resuming their discussions 19 <br />with Racial Equity Minnesota group. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Councilmember Jenson stated he attended the Kiwanis meeting, the History Committee meeting, 22 <br />and the St. Anthony Fire Department Relief Fund meeting at the end of December. On January 3, 23 <br />a liaison to Ramsey County, he attended the retirement ceremony of Matt Bostrom. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Councilmember Stille had no report. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Mayor Faust stated on December 15, 2016, there was a press conference along with other 28 <br />attendees. This is why the listening sessions have been planned. Suggestions will come from the 29 <br />COPS group for recommendations on how to make St. Anthony better. On December 9, 2016, 30 <br />Mayor Faust attended the Regional Council of Mayors. Earlier today, he attended the Mississippi 31 <br />Watershed Management Organization Board Meeting and Councilmember Reich from 32 <br />Minneapolis was re-elected as the Chair. 33 <br /> 34 <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that 37 <br />are not on the regular agenda. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. 40 <br /> 41 <br />IX.
