City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 24, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />Community and Businesses. St. Anthony provides a grant to NYFS of $3,783 for 2017. Mr. <br />Hromatka reviewed the Service Summary. <br />Mayor Faust congratulated Mr. Hromatka on 40 years and thanked Mr. Hromatka and the staff <br />on their work. <br />III. CONSENT AGENDA. <br />9 A. Approval of January 10, 2017, City Council meeting minutes <br />10 B. Licenses and Permits. <br />11 C. Claims. <br />12 D. Resolution 17 -019; a Resolution Approving Northeast Youth and Family Services <br />13 agreement. <br />14 E. Resolution 17-020, Resolution Approving the Greater Metropolitan Housing <br />15 Corporation agreement. <br />16 <br />17 Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the Consent <br />18 Agenda items. <br />19 <br />20 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />21 <br />22 IV. PUBLIC HEARING — NONE. <br />23 <br />24 V. REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF — NONE. <br />25 <br />26 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />27 <br />28 A. 2017 Parks Commission Work Plan. <br />29 <br />30 Park Commission Chair Scott Bentz summarized some of the accomplishments of the Parks <br />31 Commission in 2016. Mr. Bentz presented the 2017 Parks Commission Work Plan. The duties <br />32 of the Parks Commission are as follows: <br />33 • To prepare, revise and maintain a comprehensive, long -term plan for the redevelopment of <br />34 parks within the city. This plan shall be viewed as a working document that serves as a <br />35 framework and reference to future redevelopment; <br />36 • To make recommendations to and advise the City Council and staff regarding park issues and <br />37 ideas; <br />38 • To establish priorities and recommend a phasing plan and schedule for implementing <br />39 innovative park improvements, renovations, and plans; <br />40 • To work with other communities to explore cooperative arrangements to develop connecting <br />41 routes in the form of bikeways, walking paths, and corridors of green space wherever <br />42 possible; <br />43 • To investigate funding sources, including requests for increases in the city budget, designated <br />44 for parks and green spaces; <br />45 • To seek new areas for additional parks, natural areas, walking paths, bikeways, and green <br />46 space corridors; <br />
