City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 28, 2017 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Councilmember Stille thanked Mr. Casey and staff for their work in 2016. Councilmember Gray 2 <br />echoed Councilmember Stille’s comments and noted Mr. Casey and staff didn’t miss a beat. 3 <br />Councilmember Brever agreed and thanked Mr. Casey and staff for their hard work. 4 <br />Councilmember Jenson agreed and stated 54 pages of documentation of highlights and 5 <br />accomplishments is outstanding. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Faust stated he is not sure the public is aware or appreciates what goes on in the City, 8 <br />noting a number of balls are juggled by Council and staff. He stated he appreciates Mr. Casey’s 9 <br />service and that of the staff. The effort is appreciated. 10 <br /> 11 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Councilmember Gray reported on February 15, 2017 he attended the Tri-City Body Cam Work 14 <br />Group Meeting. The group is progressing well. On February 16, he attended the stakeholders 15 <br />meeting for the North Suburban Access Corporation. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Councilmember Brever reviewed on Tuesday, February 21 and February 27, the Collaborative 18 <br />Cohort had teleconferences. More information will be forthcoming. On February 22, she 19 <br />attended a GARE meeting. On February 27, she attended the Comprehensive Plan Steering 20 <br />Committee Meeting. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Councilmember Jenson stated on February 15, he attended the Kiwanis Meeting. On February 23 <br />16, he attended the CTV Stakeholders Meeting. On February 23, he attended the Ramsey County 24 <br />Local League of Governments Meeting. He announced on March 5, the St. Anthony Civic 25 <br />Orchestra will present a Spring Concert at the Civic Center. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Councilmember Stille reported on February 22, he attended the GARE meeting in Minneapolis. 28 <br />On February 27, he attended the Collaborative Cohort Meeting. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Mayor Faust stated February 22, the City Manager, Police Chief, and he met with the DOJ Cops 31 <br />Program and the LOMC Staff to review GARE and other initiatives. 32 <br /> 33 <br />City Manager Casey added some comments about the February 22 meeting he attended with 34 <br />Mayor Faust and the Police Chief. He added the Liquor Operations Manager is also a member of 35 <br />the GARE Cohort. 36 <br /> 37 <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that 40 <br />are not on the regular agenda. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Ms. Kate Martin, 2531 30th Avenue, stated she is concerned about her friends and neighbors that 43 <br />live in Lowry Grove. She is a member of SAFCA. She provided information about the 44 <br />affordability housing meeting that was held on February 17, 2017. They learned about 45 <br />affordability housing and the need in the metro area. There are not affordable housing 46 <br />5
