2015 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

16

II. 2015 Highlights
SOLAR ORDINANCE
In 2015, the City developed and implemented revisions to
its solar ordinance to allow residential solar installations
and amended the regulations regarding commercial solar
installations. The new ordinance allows residents to place
solar arrays on their roof top or in their backyard without
any land use permits. Commercial properties can also
install rooftop or yard arrays, with the issuance of a conditional use permit.
APPOINTMENT OF NEW COUNCILMEMBER
In 2015 Councilmember Jim Roth resigned and Bonnie
Brever was appointed to the end of the year to fill out
Roth’s term that expired on December 31, 2015.

LASERFICHE
Every year the City evaluates which city records would
benefit from digital storage. Previously the residential
property files had been scanned digitally and accessed digitally. This year we have been
working on digitally storing agendas and minutes for the City Council, Planning Commission,
Parks Commission, and HRA. In addition to adding these records to the Laserfiche repository
we have also added a public link on the City’s website where the public can search the minutes
and agendas. The Finance Department has also been adding annual reports and payroll history.
The City staff continues to add to and build the Laserfiche repository.
