2015 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />16 | Page <br /> <br /> <br />We hired in two separate phases, the first starting in March <br />with the hiring of 3 new officers in April, they are: <br /> <br />Charlie Au capina who is interested in law enforcement, <br />and wanted to get involved with a department to help him <br />learn more. He just finished his classes and will be taking <br />the POST (Police Officers Standards and Training) test <br />soon. After taking and successfully passing this test, he <br />will be eligible to be hired full-time as a sworn police <br />officer. Charlie also speaks fluent Spanish, which is very <br />helpful. <br /> <br />Steve Panning is a resident of St Anthony who wanted to <br />give back to his community. While Steve has no desire to <br />become a police officer, he is dedicated to being an active <br />participant in the safety and security of the community in <br />which he lives. <br /> <br />Noah Young is already eligible to be hired as a full-time police officer and is taking this <br />opportunity to learn as much as he can while he looks for a sworn law enforcement position. <br />Noah is originally from Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota to pursue his career. <br /> <br />The second phase was started in June and we hired 4 <br />more new officers in July, they are: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
