II. Department Divisions <br />2014 Annual Report · Publc Works Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />3 <br />WATER/SEWER DIVISION <br />The Water/Sewer Division is responsible for the maintenance of the City’s water and sewer infrastructure. <br />This division is responsible for the annual hydrant fl ushing (spring/fall), maintaining the as-built records and <br />Geographic Information Systems (GIS) upgrades, and water main repairs. This Division also provides the annual <br />Consumer Confi dence Report (CCR), which is a mandated report by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) <br />to provide a report to our residents explaining the production and test results of our drinking water. <br /> A Carbon Filter change out at the GAC Water Treatment Facility was completed in 2014. <br /> In 2013-2014, the Water/Sewer Division responded to and repaired: <br /> · 8 water main breaks. <br /> · 4 service leaks <br /> · 15 frozen water services <br />VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DIVISION <br />The Vehicle Maintenance Division (Fleet Maintenance) provides the necessary vehicle <br />maintenance and repairs all the City’s Public Works vehicles and equipment, which <br />includes both licensed and non-licensed equipment. In addition, this division supports <br />the Police and Fire Department with their maintenance needs. The City’s existing <br />Vehicle Maintenance Division staff is trained and licensed to certify all vehicles in the <br />fl eet meet DOT standards and pass inspections on an annual basis. <br />In addition, the Vehicle Maintenance Division assists in the purchase and specifi cation process when replacing capital <br />equipment for the Public Works Department. It has always been the goal of this division to provide the necessary <br />service and repair of all city owned equipment in a manner which is competitive with outside service alternatives. <br />The Public Works capital equipment purchases included as follow: <br /> · 2014 Public Works staff car <br /> · 2014 bobcat replacement and snow blower attachment <br /> · Snowplow replacement for a 1 ton vehicle.
