Street and Utility <br /> Improvements Program Improvements Program <br />Throughout the year, the Public Works Department, which included Engineering, <br />aids in numerous projects across the community. In 2014, the Public Works <br />Department completed the following projects: <br /> ·2014 Public Works Department Projects <br /> ·Annual Street Reconstruction Project <br /> ·Annual Chip Sealing Project <br /> ·Citywide Building Maintenance <br /> ·Curbside Branch Chipping Program <br /> ·2014 schedule of Capital Equipment Purchases <br /> ·Annual Safety Training for all public works employees <br />To date: the city has completed 17 years of road <br />reconstruction. 6.8 miles are planned from 2015 -2024. <br />The City of St. Anthony worked with WSB & Associates, <br />Inc. to reconstruct over 0.5 miles of residential roadway as <br />part of our annual street and utility reconstruction project. <br />This project included the complete replacement of the <br />municipal water main, sanitary sewer and road surface. In <br />2014, the reconstruction program consisted of Penrod Lane: <br />from 36th Avenue to 37th Avenue, Edgemere Avenue, and <br />Wendhurst Avenue: from Penrod Lane to Chelmsford Road. <br />Numerous drainage improvements were also completed with <br />this project as part of the City’s ongoing effort to reduce <br />fl ooding. This street project was the beginning of the <br />residential area located east of Silver Lake Road. <br />Streets scheduled to be completed in 2015 include: <br /> · 36th Avenue: from Silver Lake Road to Highcrest Road <br /> · Chelmsford Road: from 36th Avenue to 37th Avenue <br />2015 Mill and Overlay Projects: <br /> · “T” alley south of 29th Avenue between Silver Lake <br />Road to the east and Coolidge Street to the west <br /> · St Anthony Boulevard between Hwy 88 and Ridgeway <br />Parkway to the south
