Accomplishments <br />The New Year typically prompts us all to take a look at how we are doing things and <br />what do we want to accomplish. The fi re department was no different when it came <br />to evaluating past practice and progress and what do we want to accomplish in the <br />future. Whether it was training, operations, projects, or goals, focusing on a smaller <br />and sustainable move will make us more successful in the long run. Below are a <br />sampling of the accomplishments that we experienced in 2014. Each one of these <br />has given us a step forward and each is something that we will be able to sustain or <br />apply in our day to day operations. <br /> · New Focus on SOG’s\SOP’s <br /> · Reevaluating our Fire Inspection Process <br /> · Tactical Worksheets for the First Four Units On Scene <br /> · First in the Metro to Complete New Statewide EMT Testing <br /> · $42,000 Grant for Radios <br /> · Became a HEARTSafe Community <br /> · Joined the North Suburban Hazmat Team <br /> · Purchasing New Incident Simulation Software <br /> · GPS Tracking for Santa on the Fire Truck <br /> · Increasing our Fire Prevention Presence in our Schools <br /> · File of Life Program <br /> · Hosted the Civil 55th Hazardous Materials Response Team and their Training
