X. Kind Words
2014 Annual Report · Fire Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota
15
X. Kind WordsX. Kind Words
Every day the men and women of the St. Anthony Fire
Department put on their invisible “serving the community” hat
when they walk out their door. It is a hat that they had no
say or choice as to if they wanted it or not. One day that hat
was on their head without them even knowing it and what is
so great about it is that it fi ts so nicely. The members of this
department do what they do because they value community,
they value people, and they value making a difference big or
small. These folks are not looking for headlines or an “Atta
Boy”, but sometimes kind words are received via a card or
an email. Below I have included some of the words that have
been sent from people who have been recipients of the work of
these members:
“Thank you so much for all you did and
do to help make us feel bit safer in St.
Anthony Village. I know this is your job,
but I saw how you take it very seriously
and are willing to risk your health to
help others.”
“Th ank you so much for being such an
inspiration. You have no idea how much
you have helped me follow my dreams.”
“Your department h
a
s

b
e
e
n

a

c
o
m
m
u
n
i
t
y

asset to demonstrate
t
h
a
t

S
t
.

A
n
t
h
o
n
y

i
s

a

caring community.”
“Thank you so much for
keeping our community
strong and safe.”
oo rr is k k yoyo urur hh eaea
“Thank you for taking such goo
d

c
a
r
e

o
f

o
u
r

c
o
m
m
u
n
i
t
y
.
”
uch for
“We want to thank the men a
n
d

w
o
m
e
n

that helped our son.
