Fire Department <br />2014 Annual Report · Fire Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />3 <br />2014 MILESTONES <br />New Hires <br />None <br />Promotions <br />After successfully completing the Captains Exam, Ryan Anttila was promoted <br />from Lieutenant to Captain. Since that promotion Ryan was also named our <br />Department Training Offi cer. He will work closely with Lieutenant Joe Basara <br />on overseeing department wide training. Ryan will focus on the department as <br />a whole while Joe focuses on the new Rookies and their training requirements. <br />Ryan started with the department in 2001. <br />In June of 2014, Mattie Jaros was promoted from a part-time role to a full- <br />time position. Mattie has been tasked to focus on our Fire Prevention and <br />Education program. This program includes our annual open house, education <br />in the schools, educating senior citizens on fi re, medical and weather <br />emergencies and summer survival school with the Police Department.
