2 II. Fire Department <br />2014 Annual Report · Fire Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />The number one priority of any government is to provide for the safety of the public it serves. Certainly, <br />today’s Fire Department has evolved over time, and the Fire Department now does far more than extinguish <br />fi res. The St. Anthony Fire Department presents this 2014 Annual Report to share the accomplishments <br />made during the past year, as well as to provide an accurate overview of activities, training, and community <br />outreach activities. With this report, you will fi nd numerous measures of how the Fire Department performs <br />its diverse duties to the public. <br />The St. Anthony Fire Department is a combination paid on-call and full-time department working out of one <br />station. To provide an immediate response, 24-hours a day, the department is made up of seven full-time <br />personnel and 22 paid on-call personnel. The Fire Department provides fi re suppression, emergency response <br />at the EMT level and hazardous materials response at the operations level. The Fire Department also <br />provides code inspection and enforcement, fi re prevention and education, administers the City’s disaster <br />response programs and the City Code Enforcement program. <br />St. Anthony Fire apparatus’s consist of two 1250 GPM pumpers, a 1500 pumper, a step van, a rescue <br />response truck and a staff automobile for administrative response use. Specialized equipment includes <br />automatic defi brillators, Lucas 2 device, hydraulic rescue tools (jaws of life) and a mobile air cascade system. <br /> <br />II. Fire DepartmentII.
