Crime Prevention Summary <br />2014 Annual Report · Police Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />21 <br />On June 18th and 19th the St. Anthony Police Department; with the assistance of the St. Anthony Fire <br />Department, St. Anthony Community Services and Falcon Heights Parks and Recreation held its fourth <br />annual Summer Survival School at Central Park. The event brought 51 incoming 4th graders from St. <br />Anthony and Falcon Heights Elementary Schools for two days of safety education. Topics included <br />Firearms Awareness, Internet Safety, Severe Weather Awareness, Electrical Safety, Bike Safety, 911 <br />Dispatch, Physical Fitness Awareness and Drug Awareness and household chemical safety. The campers <br />also had visits from the Hennepin County Crime Lab, the East Metro Swat Team, Roseville Police K-9, and <br />the State Patrol Helicopter. <br />The kids had a chance to visit the fi re <br />station, operate working fi re hoses, <br />Learn CPR and dress up in fi re gear. <br />Lunches were provided by Culver’s <br />and Broadway Pizza of St. Anthony. <br />All campers received a certifi cate of <br />completion as well as a Summer Survival <br />School T-Shirt. The police department <br />looks forward to the 5th Annual Summer <br />Survival School coming on June 17th <br />and 18th 2015. <br />In August, forty six St. Anthony <br />neighborhood groups joined thousands <br />across the state to celebrate MN Night <br />to Unite. This was our 30thth year <br />of celebrating this special night in St. <br />Anthony.
