Crime Prevention Summary <br />2014 Annual Report · Police Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />In May, and for the second year in a row, <br />Offi cer Jeronimo Yanez took part in the <br />Standing of the Memorial Guard event as <br />part of Law Enforcement Memorial Day and <br />National Peace Offi cer’s Day (May 15th). He <br />participated by standing watch at the Law <br />Enforcement Memorial Monument, in front of <br />the Capitol. <br />Reserve Offi cers Steven Olson and Nicholas <br />Hoffman attended the St. Anthony Middle <br />School dance and assisted students and <br />staff in having a safe evening. <br />In June, Sgt. Dan Diegnau and Offi cer Yanez met with the Citizen’s for Sustainability group for a bike <br />event. Tips were provided on bicycle safety, rider mechanics, and laws of the roadway. Offi cers then <br />joined the group for a bike ride throughout St. Anthony. <br />Sgt. Jeff Spiess volunteered his time to assist with checking in SAHS graduates for their senior all night <br />party and getting them off on buses safely. <br />Offi cers and family members completed <br />the SAPD leg of the Law Enforcement <br />Torch Run. SAPD Offi cers were passed the <br />torch, from New Brighton Offi cers, at the <br />St. Anthony City Hall and ran through St. <br />Anthony, to Snelling Ave. at County Rd. C, <br />where they passed the torch to members of <br />the Roseville Police Department.
