I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 3 MARCH 28, 2017 4 5 CALL TO ORDER. 6 7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 8 9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 10 11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 12 13 ROLL CALL. 14 15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Gray, Jenson, and Stille. 16 Absent: None. 17 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Stacie Kvilvang, Ehlers & Associates, James Lehnhoff, 18 Ehlers & Associates, Director of Public Works Jay Hartman, and Police Chief Jon 19 Mangseth. 20 Guests: None 21 22 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 23 ITEMS. 24 25 1. APPROVAL OF MARCH 28, 2017 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 26 27 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 28 Council Meeting Agenda of March 28, 2017. 29 30 Motion carried 5 -0. 31 32 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 33 34 A. Presentation from the University of Minnesota Sustainable Communities Students. 35 36 City Manager Casey introduced the students from the Capstone Project — University of 37 Minnesota Sustainable Communities. Each student introduced themselves and made some 38 comments regarding their class. There are two projects within their course that involve the City 39 of St. Anthony are Organics Collection and Organized Collection. There will be a Symposium on 40 the projects held on April 12, 2017, 5:30 — 6:30 p.m., in the Learning Sciences building on the 41 St. Paul Campus. The Council was invited to attend. The students thanked the City of St. 42 Anthony for collaborating with the University of Minnesota. 43 44 Mayor Faust stated the backgrounds of the students is very interesting and the City is fortunate to 45 have the students help with the projects. 46 47 III.
