PUBLIC HEARINGS — NONE. <br />10 <br />11 V. REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF — NONE. <br />12 <br />13 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />14 <br />15 A. Resolution 17 -033: a Resolution Providing for the Sale of $5,600.000 General Obligation <br />16 Bonds, Series 2017A. <br />17 <br />18 Ms. Stacie Kvilvang, Ehlers & Associates, introduced her colleague Mr. James Lehnhoff who <br />19 reviewed the resolution providing for the sale of $5,600,000 General Obligation Bonds, Series <br />20 2017A to finance 2017 street reconstruction projects in the City; purchase a fire truck and to <br />21 affect a current refunding of the City's General Obligation Bonds, Series 2009A. The terms for <br />22 the fire truck portion would be 10 years and the refunding would be following the current term <br />23 which has eight years remaining. The Proposed Debt Issuance Schedule was reviewed. <br />24 <br />25 Councilmember Stille asked about the ten -year tern for the fire truck and Mr. Lehnhoff stated <br />26 the ten -year term is imbedded in the Bond. Councilmember Stille stated the City doesn't <br />27 typically borrow for rolling stock and noted the current fire truck is 32 years old and with the <br />28 savings and interest rate, this makes sense. <br />29 <br />30 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to adopt Resolution 17- <br />31 033; a Resolution Providing for the Sale of $5,600,000 General Obligation Bonds, Series 2017A. <br />32 <br />33 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />34 <br />35 B. St. Anthony Public Works Department Annual Report. <br />36 <br />37 Director of Public Works Jay Hartman provided a PowerPoint presentation of the 2016 Public <br />38 Works Annual Report. Mr. Hartman reviewed the Mission Statement, Department <br />39 Organizational Chart, Street Maintenance Division, Salt & Salt/Brine Usage, 2016 Public Works <br />40 Department Projects, 2016 Annual Employee Safety Training, Parks Maintenance Division, Park <br />41 Usage by Ice Skaters, Water /Sewer Division, Water Main Breaks & Service Leaks, Vehicle <br />42 Maintenance Division, City Buildings Division, Engineering Division, Street Improvement <br />43 Projects Schedule 2016 — 2025, 2016 Street & Utility in Review, 2017 Street Improvement <br />44 Project, Citywide Chip Sealing Schedule, Chip Seal Completed in 2016, Proposed 2017 <br />45 Improvement Projects, Citywide Sustainability Initiative, Minnesota GreenCorps Member, 2017 <br />46 Sustainability Initiatives, 2017 and Beyond and 2017 Upcoming Events.
