City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 11, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />A. Resolution 17 -054; a Resolution approving a request for an eight foot variance to <br />Accommodate a deck in the rear yard at the property located at 3204 Towniew Avenue <br />located in the R -1 district. <br />Mayor Faust announced this request has been withdrawn by the applicant. <br />8 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />9 <br />10 A. Resolution 17 -055, a Resolution Relating to Termination of Contract Agreement for <br />11 Police Services Between the City of St. Anthony and the City of Falcon Heights. <br />12 <br />13 City Manager reported on the resolution to terminate the police contract with the City of Falcon <br />14 Heights. Per the existing contract, either party must provide written notice to terminate by July <br />15 15 of a given year. If approved, police services for the City of Falcon Heights would end on <br />16 December 31, 2017. <br />17 <br />18 City Manager Casey stated Councilmember Gray had contacted him and stated he is in favor of <br />19 approval of this resolution. <br />20 <br />21 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />22 17 -055; a Resolution Relating to Termination of Contract Agreement for Police Services <br />23 Between the City of St. Anthony and City of Falcon Heights. <br />24 <br />25 Motion carried 4 -0. <br />26 <br />27 B. 2nd Quarter Goals Update <br />28 <br />29 City Manager Casey reported on the 2nd Quarter Goals, noting they are available for review. <br />30 Mayor Faust highlighted the City became a Green Step 5 in June 2017. Councilmember Stille <br />31 stated St. Anthony is one of six Green Step 5 cities out of 853 cities in Minnesota. <br />32 <br />33 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />34 <br />35 City Manager Casey mentioned the City Newsletter was mailed out. <br />36 <br />37 Councilmember Brever had no report. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Jenson had no report. <br />40 <br />41 Councilmember Stille stated he made a commitment to wish Evelyn Kline a Happy Birthday <br />42 today. She is 110 years old and a St. Anthony resident. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Faust stated he attended the Regional Council of Mayors Meeting on July 10, 2017. The <br />45 entire conversation at the meeting was regarding water and how it can be better used. Mayor <br />46 Faust attended the Mississippi Water Management Organization Meeting on July 11, 2017. <br />
