Resolution 17 -054; a Resolution approving a request for an eight foot variance to Accommodate a deck in the rear yard at the property located at 3204 Towniew Avenue located in the R -1 district. Mayor Faust announced this request has been withdrawn by the applicant. 8 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. 9 10 A. Resolution 17 -055, a Resolution Relating to Termination of Contract Agreement for 11 Police Services Between the City of St. Anthony and the City of Falcon Heights. 12 13 City Manager reported on the resolution to terminate the police contract with the City of Falcon 14 Heights. Per the existing contract, either party must provide written notice to terminate by July 15 15 of a given year. If approved, police services for the City of Falcon Heights would end on 16 December 31, 2017. 17 18 City Manager Casey stated Councilmember Gray had contacted him and stated he is in favor of 19 approval of this resolution. 20 21 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution 22 17 -055; a Resolution Relating to Termination of Contract Agreement for Police Services 23 Between the City of St. Anthony and City of Falcon Heights. 24 25 Motion carried 4 -0. 26 27 B. 2nd Quarter Goals Update 28 29 City Manager Casey reported on the 2nd Quarter Goals, noting they are available for review. 30 Mayor Faust highlighted the City became a Green Step 5 in June 2017. Councilmember Stille 31 stated St. Anthony is one of six Green Step 5 cities out of 853 cities in Minnesota. 32 33 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 34 35 City Manager Casey mentioned the City Newsletter was mailed out. 36 37 Councilmember Brever had no report. 38 39 Councilmember Jenson had no report. 40 41 Councilmember Stille stated he made a commitment to wish Evelyn Kline a Happy Birthday 42 today. She is 110 years old and a St. Anthony resident. 43 44 Mayor Faust stated he attended the Regional Council of Mayors Meeting on July 10, 2017. The 45 entire conversation at the meeting was regarding water and how it can be better used. Mayor 46 Faust attended the Mississippi Water Management Organization Meeting on July 11, 2017.
