<br /> <br />2018 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT <br />CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />WSB PROJECT NO. 010507-000 PAGE 3 <br />2.4 Project Location <br />The project is located in the northeast quadrant of the City of St. Anthony Village. The <br />project includes the following streets: <br /> <br />• Macalaster Drive NE from 37th Avenue NE to the railroad tracks <br />• Foss Road from 37th Avenue NE to Chandler Drive NE <br />• Highcrest Road NE from 37th Avenue NE to the terminant end <br />• Anthony Lane from County Road C to the cul-de-sac <br />• Central Park <br /> <br />The project area is identified on Figure 1 in Appendix A of this report. <br /> <br />2.5 Project History <br />This project was initiated through the recognition of the following conditions in the <br />project area: <br /> <br />• Deterioration of street conditions <br />• Re-occurring water main breaks in the project limits <br />• Streets, sanitary sewer, water main lines are over 50 years old and are exhibiting <br />deterioration problems <br /> <br />Additionally, to align with the City’s goals for sustainability and efforts in water <br />conservation, City Staff requested to review options to reduce potable water usage at <br />Central Park. <br /> <br />As a result, On June 13, 2017, the St. Anthony Village City Council authorized the <br />preparation of an engineering feasibility report for the 2018 Street and Utility <br />Improvement Project. <br /> <br />29
