Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes <br />August 28 , 2017 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />the Comprehensive Plan amendment, based on the findings enumerated in the staff 1 <br />report. 2 <br />• Staff recommends tabling of the preliminary PUD plan and preliminary plat until such a 3 <br />time that the Comprehensive Plan amendments are acted upon and revised plans are 4 <br />submitted that are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, as may be amended. 5 <br /> 6 <br />The following actions are options for the Planning Commission to consider: 7 <br />1. Motion to recommend denial of the Comprehensive Plan amendment to increase density for 8 <br />the subject property from 40 to 48 units per acre, based on the findings listed in the staff 9 <br />report; motion to recommend approval of the Comprehensive Plan amendment to change the 10 <br />land use on 2401 Lowry from commercial to high density residential, based on the findings 11 <br />listed in the staff report; and motion to table action on the preliminary PUD development 12 <br />plan and preliminary plat until resolution of the Comprehensive Plan amendment request. 13 <br />(RECOMMENDED MOTION). 14 <br /> 15 <br />2. Motion to table action on the Comprehensive Plan amendments, preliminary PUD 16 <br />development plan and preliminary plat, based on the submittal of additional information, as 17 <br />listed in the staff report. 18 <br /> 19 <br />3. Motion to recommend denial of the Comprehensive Plan amendments, preliminary PUD 20 <br />development plan, and preliminary plat, and direct staff to prepare a draft resolution 21 <br />declaring terms of the same. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Ms. Rothstein summarized the next steps as: 24 <br />• Move forward negative recommendation for Comprehensive Plan Amendment regarding 25 <br />density to City Council on September 26, 2017. 26 <br />• Move forward recommendation for approval for Comprehensive Plan Amendment 27 <br />regarding land use of 2401 Lowry Avenue (Bremer site) to City Council on September 28 <br />26, 2017. 29 <br />• Planning Commission will re -consider at a later public hearing for a revised Preliminary 30 <br />PUD Development Plan and Preliminary Plat. 31 <br />• Once Planning Commission re -considers a revised application, their recommendation will 32 <br />move forward to City Council for a final decision. 33 <br />• Many other scenarios are possible. 34 <br />• Statutory Review Deadline (unless an extension is granted) is November 15, 2017. 35 <br /> 36 <br />It was noted that the following attachments to the meeting packet were provided for Commission 37 <br />review: 38 <br />1.
