School aged children ages <br />5 through 19 make up a total of 1,180 people or 14.3% of the total population in St. Anthony Village. <br />The male population in St. Anthony Village totals 3,789 or 46.1 % with a median age of 39.5 years and <br />the female population totals 4,437 or 53.9% of the total population with a median age of 46.4 years. <br />85.1 % of the total population in the City of St. Anthony Village was reported as "White" on the 2010 <br />Census with a total of 6,999 people. The next largest race reported as "Asian' with 483 people or 5.9% <br />of the population, with "Black or African American' coming third largest with 414 people or 5.0 %. <br />A complete breakdown of these population statistics are outlined in Exhibit A. <br />Housing <br />In 2010, the City of St. Anthony Village had 4,098 total housing units reported, of which 3,848 or 93.9% <br />were occupied housing units with 250 or 6.1% vacant housing units. Of the 250 vacant housing units 132 <br />were rental units, 1 was rented, but not occupied, 40 were for sale, 21 were sold but not occupied, 31 were <br />seasonal homes, and 25 were vacant. <br />Owner - occupied housing units totaled 2,398 or 62.3% while renter - occupied housing units totaled 1,450 <br />or 37.71/o of the total occupied housing units in the City. <br />The 2007 -2011 American Community Survey 5 -Year Estimates indicate that the average household size <br />of owner- occupied units is 2.32 with the average household size of renter - occupied units at 1.83. It also <br />indicated that while the majority of householders moved into their housing units prior to 2004 (58.4%), <br />41.6% or 1,563 moved in 2005 or later. <br />The 2010 Census indicates a total of 3,758 households with 2,013 "family households" and 1,745 "non - <br />family households ". Of the "family households" 1,643 are a married- couple family with 631 with their <br />own children under the age of 18 years. Of the "non- family households" 1,487 live alone with 719 of <br />those 65 years and over. <br />769 households have one or more people under the age of 18 and 1,237 households have one or more <br />people 65 years and over. The average household size is 2.13 with the average family size of 2.88. <br />A complete breakdown of these housing statistics are outlined in Exhibit A. <br />
