This partnership has realized many advantages, such as economies of scale, <br />consistency, transparency, and continuity of evidence across jurisdictional borders, and ease of <br />operation. <br />5 Captain Spiess stated earlier this year, the St. Anthony Police Department made application with <br />6 the Department of Justice for their Body Worn Camera Policy and implementation Program <br />7 grant. This grant was written in conjunction with the Roseville Police Department, with St. <br />8 Anthony being the grantee and Roseville applying as the subrecipient to the grant. This was <br />9 conducted as a partnership with the Roseville Police Department due to the positive outcomes we <br />10 have realized with past and current partnerships between departments. <br />11 <br />12 Councilmember Stille asked about the grant amounts. Captain Spiess stated in October, the DOJ <br />13 announced the award of the grant in the amount of $123,000 with $40,500 to St. Anthony and <br />14 $82,500 to Roseville. The administration of the grant carries a 50% match funding requirement <br />15 by each agency, along with several other reporting and recordkeeping requirements. A draft of <br />16 the contract agreement between the City of St. Anthony and the City of Roseville was provided <br />17 for Council review and staff recommends City Council approval. <br />18 <br />19 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />20 17 -078; a Resolution approving the Joint Contract Agreement Regarding Body Worn Camera <br />21 Policy and Implementation Program Grant in Conjunction with the Roseville Police Department. <br />22 <br />23 Mayor Faust noted Roseville provides the IT services and it is critical to the storage component <br />24 of the body cams. <br />25 <br />26 Councilmember Stille stated this is a natural partnership with Roseville and monies are saved by <br />27 working together with no liability risk to the City. <br />28 <br />29 Motion Carried 4 -0 <br />30 <br />31 B. Ordinance 2017 -04; an Ordinance Setting Sewer Water and Storm Water charges for <br />32 2018. <br />33 <br />34 City Manager Casey presented the 2nd reading of this Ordinance.
