2016 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />32 | Page <br /> <br />to use fire extinguishers, first aid and CPR. Members of the St. Anthony Fire Department <br />showed the kids how they <br />dismantled a car with the Jaws of <br />Life on a vehicle donated by <br />Freeway Towing. All attendees <br />received lunch donated by Culvers <br />of St. Anthony and Broadway Pizza <br />of St. Anthony. Group leaders and <br />registration were provided by St. <br />Anthony Community Services. <br /> <br />CSO Ismail Turay joined elementary school kids for a game of soccer and football, handed out <br />stickers, and gave a tour of his patrol car at Central Park. <br /> <br />Officer Rushton took time from his patrol to make a <br />donation to 7th graders fundraising for a trip to Spain <br />by selling carwashes at Faith United Methodist <br />Church. <br /> <br /> <br />Officer Huddle provided a presentation to senior citizens on safety and <br />addressed specific concerns regarding suspicious activity at a St. Anthony <br />senior living complex. <br />July: CSO Turay coached two elementary school age kids playing soccer at <br />Emerald Park and spoke with their mother about soccer clubs within the <br />area that may be of interest to them to play on. <br />Throughout the summer of 2016 Officers spotted kids riding bicycles while <br />wearing protective bike equipment such as helmets. The kids were <br />stopped and rewarded with a coupon for a free ice cream cone from the <br />local Dairy Queen.
