Department Summary <br />The following pages consist of annual statistics, activities, crime reports, investigations, use of resources, <br />and other initiatives during the year starting January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2016. <br />DEPARTMENT AUTHORIZED STRENGTH <br />23 full time police officers. Eight of these officers are employed due to revenues received from our <br />contract cities. <br />• 14 volunteer reserve officers <br />• 1 full time community service officer <br />• 2 full time civilian support staff <br />• 1 part-time civilian support staff <br />In March, we experienced the retirement of Police Officer Jack Christman (22 years). In April, our <br />department’s Office Support Specialist, Vicky (12 years), retired. In June, we experienced the <br />retirements of Chief John Ohl (31 years) and Captain Dominic Cotroneo (28 years). <br />Officer Dane Lazenberry was hired to replace Officer Christman. Officer Lazenberry came to us from the <br />MN State Patrol and was a former Police Reserve Officer for the department. Reserve Officers Brandon <br />Hess and Trent Studer were hired as full time police officers, as the department underwent changes in <br />leadership with the promotions of Mike Huddle (Sergeant), Mark Dokken (Sergeant), Jeff Spiess <br />(Captain) and Jon Mangseth (Police Chief). In April, a St. Anthony resident, Karen was hired to replace <br />the vacancy left by the retirement of Vicky. <br />ST. ANTHONY POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET <br />Total budget for the year 2016, including revenues from our contract cities was, $3,382,475. <br />ST. ANTHONY POLICE FLEET <br />• 7 – Marked Squads <br />• 1 – Marked Reserve Unit <br />• 1 – Marked CSO Unit <br />• 5 – Unmarked Units <br /> <br />• Total 14 Units. <br /> <br />
