V.I Support Staff to Agencies <br />2014 Annual Report · Publc Works Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />17 <br />STRUCTURAL BALANCED UTILITY FUNDS <br />Council and Staff continued their annual practice of reviewing existing Utility rates in late fall. Rates are reviewed to <br />determine if rate adjustments are required to cover operating and infrastructure costs. Factors used in this analysis <br />include: <br /> · Trends in operating costs <br /> · Historical data regarding water consumption <br /> · Allocations of administrative costs to utility funds <br /> · Metropolitan Council Environmental Services Charges <br />The result of this process was rate adjustments that are projected to balance the Utility Fund operating revenues <br />with operating expenses and to strengthen fund balances.
