Resolution 18 -018; a Resolution Calling a Hearing for the 2018 Street and Utility <br />Improvement Project. <br />4 City Engineer Hubmer summarized the three resolutions before City Council this evening. A <br />5 Resolution Calling for a Hearing for the 2018 Street and Utility Improvement Project setting a <br />6 public hearing on March 27, 2018. Mr. Hubmer showed the project location being Macalester <br />7 Drive (37th Avenue NE to RR tracks); Foss Road (37`h Avenue NE to Chandler Dr); and <br />8 Highcrest Road (37th Avenue NE to terminate). Some erosion Improvements will also be done <br />9 and the location was indicated on a drawing. Central Park Water Reuse Retrofit will also be <br />10 done. The low bidder from the six bids received was Kuechle Underground for $2,282,930.11. <br />11 Mr. Hubmer reviewed the project costs /funding breakdown. The total of special assessments is <br />12 $951,000 and City Costs of $1,853,500 for a project total of $2,804,500. <br />13 <br />14 Mr. Hubmer showed the assessed parcels on a drawing and reviewed the project schedule. <br />15 Residents can sign up to receive weekly email updates and notifications regarding the 2018 <br />16 Street & Utility Improvement Project by visiting the project webpage located under the <br />17 "Projects" tab on the City's website at http: / /www.savmn.com. <br />18 <br />19 Councilmember Stille asked if the splash pads will be closed during the project with the Central <br />20 Park Water Reuse Retrofit. Mr. Hubmer stated there may be a brief time the splash pads may be <br />21 closed which will be communicated to the residents. Councilmember Stille asked how many <br />22 parcels will be assessed for the Mirror Lake Erosion Improvements and Mr. Hubmer responded <br />23 it would be assessed to five parcels (three property owners). Mr. Hubmer indicated the location <br />24 of the five parcels. <br />25 <br />26 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />27 18 -018; a Resolution Calling a Hearing for the 2018 Street and Utility Improvement Project. <br />28 <br />29 Motion Carried 4 -0. <br />30 <br />31 B. Resolution 18 -019: a Resolution Declaring the Cost to be Assessed and Ordering <br />32 Preparation of Proposed Assessment. <br />33 <br />34 City Engineer Hubmer reviewed this resolution declares the amount to be assessed to be <br />35 approximately $951,000. <br />36 <br />37 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />38 18 -019; a Resolution Declaring the Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of Proposed <br />39 Assessment. <br />40 <br />41 Motion Carried 4 -0. <br />42 <br />43 C. Resolution 18 -020: a Resolution Calling a Hearing on the Proposed Assessments for the <br />44 2018 Street and Utility Improvement Project. <br />45 <br />
