City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 13, 2018 <br />Page 5 <br />Mr. Casey reported on Monday, February 26, will be the public hearing for the redevelopment of <br />Lowry Grove. All information is available on the City's website. <br />Councilmember Jenson stated on January 29, he attended the St. Anthony Fire Department <br />Retirement Fund Meeting. The fund is fully funded. <br />7 Councilmember Stille stated on January 25, he attended the 50`h Anniversary Celebration of the <br />8 Met Council. He also attended on January 26, he attended the LMC Leadership Conference. <br />9 February 1, he attended a Community Services Meeting. <br />10 <br />11 Councilmember Randle stated on January 31, he attended the St. Anthony Family Services <br />12 Collaborative. There will be an Open House hosted by the Police Department to Introduce the <br />13 Collaborative Reform Work Plan on February 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. <br />14 <br />15 Mayor Pro Tern Gray stated on February 1, he attended the North Suburban Communications <br />16 Commission Access Corporation Meetings. Council has talked about doing Coffee with the <br />17 Council. The dates will be listed in the Spring Newsletter. Staff will also be included. More <br />18 details will be forthcoming. <br />19 <br />20 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />21 <br />22 Ms. Erin Jordahl- Redlin, 3012 Armor Terrace, commented on the City's goal setting meeting <br />23 and community participation in the meeting. She suggested community participation be <br />24 facilitated in the goal setting meeting. There needs to be new voices and ideas expressed. The <br />25 goal setting meeting needs to be held in St. Anthony. She heard the Council was in violation by <br />26 having the meeting outside of St. Anthony. <br />27 <br />28 Ms. Lona Doolan, 3511 Harding Street, stated she would like to comment on the goal setting <br />29 meeting. She attended the January 23, Council Meeting where Councilmembers stated <br />30 disappointment about the Star Tribune article which didn't focus on what was accomplished <br />31 during the meeting. The City leaders need to provide that information to the residents. She stated <br />32 she would like updates on some of the agenda items from the goal setting meeting. She feels this <br />33 information needs to be communicated. <br />34 <br />35 Ms. Mel Chaput, 3537 Coolidge Street, attended the goal setting meeting. She was glad she did <br />36 so. She learned a lot. She was impressed with the positive ways the Council worked together. <br />37 There was no opposing dialogue. Everyone appeared to be on the same page. She suggested <br />38 Council get resident input prior to the meeting. If people are invited and are able to participate <br />39 there is a lot less criticism. A meeting open to the public needs to be held within the City. Ms. <br />40 Chaput noted she was disappointed to see Councilmember Gray's reaction to the point of anger <br />41 during the Council Meeting regarding the goal setting meeting. <br />42 <br />43 Mayor Pro Tern Gray stated he was disappointed but not angry that what the Council had for <br />44 lunch and had cloth napkins was reported in the newspaper. She thanked the speakers for their <br />45 suggestions. <br />46 <br />
