City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 27, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br />Councilmember Gray thanked Mr. Casey for a great job last year. <br />Councilmember Jenson complimented the entire City staff keeping the headcount flat over the <br />past few years. <br />Councilmember Stille thanked Mr. Casey for his work and that of the entire staff. He noted a <br />significant amount of work is responding to telephone calls, emails, putting out fires, etc. <br />10 Councilmember Randle thanked Mr. Casey for his help in bring him up to speed as a new <br />11 Councilmember. <br />12 <br />13 Mayor Faust stated the Green Step 5 is significant without a full -time staff person. There has <br />14 been substantial work with the Department of Justice (DOJ) for staff. The pyramid permits staff <br />15 and Council to focus. The City does not have a grant writer and other staff members step up and <br />16 apply for grants for the City. He gave his sincere appreciation to staff. <br />17 <br />18 D. City of St. Anthony Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accommodations. <br />19 <br />20 City Manager Casey reviewed the ADA Accommodations the City has placed on the website and <br />21 how individuals requesting accommodations can contact the City. This information has also been <br />22 added to agendas. The process for submitting an ADA grievance using the online form was also <br />23 reviewed. This information will be included in the City Newsletter. Mr. Casey thanked City <br />24 Clerk Nicole Miller who put the information together. Mr. Casey is the ADA Coordinator for the <br />25 City. <br />26 <br />27 Councilmember Stille asked if rather than not filing a grievance, residents can send an email to <br />28 the City Manager and Mr. Casey stated they can. <br />29 <br />30 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />31 <br />32 City Manager Casey stated `hats off to the Public Works Department on the outstanding job <br />33 with snow removal. <br />34 <br />35 Councilmember Stille stated on February 19, he attended the Kiwanis Meeting. On February 26, <br />36 the Parks and Planning Commissions met together, followed by a Planning Commission meeting <br />37 with a public hearing on the Lowry Grove Redevelopment. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Gray stated on February 21, he attended the Executive Search Committee <br />40 meeting for the North Suburban Access Communications. <br />41 <br />42 Councilmember Randle stated on February 23, he attended the Collaborative Reform rollout for <br />43 the Police Department. On February 26, he attended the joint Park Commission and Planning <br />44 Commission meeting. <br />45 <br />
