With the assistance of the GreenCorp member, 11
the City has established several sustainable programs that will continue to benefit the City for 12
many years to come. The GreenCorp member would be compensated by the MPCA and St. 13
Anthony would be responsible for supervision and office space. 14
15
This resolution is to authorize staff to submit an application to be a GreenCorp host site for the 16
2018 – 2019 program year. 17
18
Mayor Faust noted Nick went to work for Burnsville and Kristin is in Woodbury. These were the 19
previous GreenCorp members who worked in St. Anthony. 20
21
Councilmember Stille asked if Mr. Casey has time for the supervision. Mr. Casey responded the 22
Public Works Director, Jay, would be the immediate supervisor. 23
24
Councilmember Jenson asked if St. Anthony has a strong probability of getting one and Mr. 25
Casey stated there are more applicants and it’s more competitive every year. Mr. Casey stated 26
this is a state-wide program and there are 25 members placed. 27
28
Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution 29
18-024; a Resolution Authorizing Participation in the 2018 – 2019 GreenCorps Program. 30
31
Motion Carried 5-0. 32
33
D.
