2017 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />27 | P a g e <br /> <br />On June 14th and 15th the St. Anthony Police <br />Department, with the assistance of the St. Anthony <br />Fire Department, held its 7th annual Summer Survival <br />School at Central Park. The event brought 56 <br />incoming 4th graders from St. Anthony, Falcon <br />Heights and Lauderdale Elementary Schools for two <br />days of safety education. Topics included Firearms <br />Awareness, Dangerous Drugs, Severe Weather <br />Awareness, Bike Safety, 911 Dispatch, Physical Fitness Awareness and Household Chemical <br />Safety. <br />The campers also had visits from the Hennepin <br />County Crime Lab, the East Metro SWAT <br />Team, Roseville Police K-9, State Patrol Helicopter <br />and Hennepin County Water Patrol. <br />The kids had a chance to visit the fire station, <br />operate working fire hoses, learn CPR and first aid, climb on the fire trucks and tour an <br />ambulance. Lunches were provided by Culver’s and Broadway Pizza of St. Anthony. All <br />campers received a certificate of completion as well as a Summer Survival School T-Shirt. The <br />police department looks forward to the 8th Annual Summer Survival School coming on June <br />13th and 14th 2018. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
