2017 Annual Report • Public Works Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />CITY BUILDINGS DIVISION <br />The City Buildings Division provides the necessary maintenance and repair to all the City’s <br />buildings. In 2017, projects included: <br /> City-owned building lighting upgrades: Silver Lake <br />Village liquor store received LED lighting upgrades to <br />the interior hallway and restroom lights. Installed <br />security and card access system on public buildings. <br /> Applied for and received energy rebates for VFD <br />upgrades at all public buildings from Xcel Energy. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT PROJECTS <br />Throughout the year, the Public Works Department, <br />which included Engineering, aids in numerous <br />projects across the community. In 2017, the Public <br />Works Department completed the following projects: <br /> Citywide Building Maintenance <br /> Annual City-Wide Clean Up Day <br /> Annual Branch Chipping Program <br /> 2017 Capital Equipment Purchases <br /> Converted street lighting on Silver Lake Road to decorative LED lighting from 37th Ave <br />to Silver Lane. Silver Lane to County Road E will be completed in 2018. <br /> CP Holiday Train with the City of Columbia Heights <br /> Annual Employee Training to include: <br />First Aid and CPR, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazard Communication, <br />Trenching & Excavation Safety and Hearing Loss Conservation, and MS4 <br />Program Staff Training <br />ENGINEERING DIVISION <br />The City of St. Anthony utilizes WSB & Associates, Inc. for engineering and consulting services <br />on many of the city’s construction and improvement projects. Engineering activities in a typical <br />year include: street and utility reconstruction; stormwater quality and flood improvements;
