In 2017, the City Manager and Department Heads <br />participated in meetings with Dr. Bruce Miles of Big River Consulting. Dr. Miles was able to <br />present what academic research shows along with best practices and practical applications to <br />use with our work force. The knowledge and enhanced skills that has been gained, enabled the <br />staff leadership team to dispense this to their respective departments. Examples of the subject <br />areas covered were succession planning, employee engagement, evaluations and strategic <br />planning.
