2017 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

50

PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR THE RE-DEVELOPMENT OF LOWRY GROVE
MANUFACTURED HOME PARK
The Village, LLC made official application for a large re-development project called Southern
Gateway on the former Lowry Grove Manufactured Home park. The initial project called for
over 800 units of townhomes, multi-family, senior, and affordable housing on the site and
included Bremer Bank. The plans were denied, based on incompatibility with the
comprehensive plan, and the developer has revised their plans to meet the plan. The revised
plan, showing 430 units, does not include the Bremer site, and includes senior and market rate
housing. This revised plan will be reviewed by the city in 2018.
OPEN TO BUSINESS
Open to Business provides one on one business counseling to current and
prospective entrepreneurs.
