Mr. Casey stated it can be added <br />to the Planning Commission's Work Plan. <br />Mayor Faust suggested the Council move slower and he is inclined to allow six chickens. <br />Motion carried 3 -2 (Faust and Randle). <br />D. St. Anthony Finance Department Annual Report. <br />Finance Director Shelly Rueckert provided the 2017 Finance Department Annual Report power <br />point presentation including the Mission Statement, Finance Overview, Core Accounting <br />Functions, Finance Activity Unique to 2017, Technological Advances, and Long Term Financial <br />Management. The Finance Department contracts with the MWMO for finance services. A <br />customer portal was launched using Sensus analytics to enable residents to monitor their water <br />usage. <br />Councilmember Stille stated before Finance Director Rueckert came, the City did not have a <br />good way to forecast road levies. He appreciates the department's hard work. <br />Mayor Faust stated twice a year the City receives revenues from the County and Ms. Rueckert <br />has found ways to deal with these funds and cash flow for the City. He noted the Finance <br />Department is the first place many residents go to for help and they provide a great first <br />impression from the City. <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />City Manager Casey thanked all who volunteered for the park clean-up. Last Saturday, the <br />Spring Clean-up was held and this year there were 250 vehicles compared to 225 for last year. <br />He reported that Mr. Mike Larson was elected to the MN Beverage Association Board of <br />Directors, a Green Corp member will be joining the City in September, the City achieved the <br />Green Step Five for Sustainability, and this is the highest level a City can achieve. <br />Councilmember Gray stated on May 7, he attended the AEON community meeting where the <br />plans for affordable housing were shown for the Bremer Bank site. He felt it was a good <br />meeting. <br />
