APPROVAL OF THE DECEMBER 4, 2017, REGULAR PARKS COMMISSION 30 <br />MEETING MINUTES. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> Motion by Commissioner Ksiazek, seconded by Commissioner Jordahl Redlin, to approve the 33 <br />December 4, 2017, Regular Parks Commission Meeting Minutes. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 36 <br /> 37 <br />VI. PRESENTATIONS. 38 <br /> 39 <br />A. Presentation by Evan Halet, Eagle Scouts 40 <br /> 41 <br />Evan Halet New Brighton Eagle Scout Troop #106, stated that he is present to inform the 42 <br />Commission of his project, which will install six bat houses in St. Anthony Parks. He stated 43 <br />that this project will help to control mosquito and gnats in an environmentally friendly 44 <br />method. He stated that the bats should not be a problem during the day, when the park is 45 <br />active because they are nocturnal. He stated that the process to establish the bat houses could 46 <br />take six days to one year. He noted that he will need help from parks stall to install the houses 47 <br />onto light poles. He noted that the light poles are a good location because they will attract 48 <br />bugs at night for the bats to feed on. He provided information on a disease that is threatening 49
