City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 10, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Faust noted the accessible pedestrian count-down signals are an asset to drivers and is a 1 <br />safety measure to drivers as well as pedestrians. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Councilmember Jenson noted out of the 60 action items 54 actions have been taken. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Councilmember Stille stated a resident brought up that Mark Casey had won the City Manager of 6 <br />the Year Award. Councilmember Stille noted information can be found in the City Newsletter. 7 <br /> 8 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 9 <br /> 10 <br />City Manager Casey noted the Ramsey County Board will be reviewing the organics drop-off at 11 <br />their upcoming meeting (August 7). There will be no cost to the St. Anthony residents. On July 12 <br />16, the 27th and Pahl Avenue Traffic Study data collected will be presented at City Hall. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Councilmember Gray had no report. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Councilmember Randle had no report. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Councilmember Jenson had no report. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Councilmember Stille had no report. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Mayor Faust stated on June 27, he attended a Mississippi Water Management Organization 23 <br />Training for City officials. After the training, 360 people attended an Open House. On July 9, he 24 <br />attended the Regional Council of Mayors Meeting. On July 10, he attended the MWMO bi-25 <br />monthly meeting. 26 <br /> 27 <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Ms. Julie Thompson, 3808 Foss Road, asked about Tony Webster publishing information on the 30 <br />St. Anthony Police Department including a letter from Dorsey Whitney stating the City shouldn’t 31 <br />give certain information. She is wondering how much the City paid in legal fees for issues such 32 <br />as this. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Mayor Faust stated the City spent a lot of money on legal fees regarding the shooting but you get 35 <br />what you pay for. The City receives a government rate from Dorsey Whitney. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Councilmember Stille stated for something like this the City wants the best they can get and that 38 <br />is served by Dorsey Whitney. City Manager Casey noted the City has an obligation for non-39 <br />public data and they are responsible for not releasing that information. 40 <br /> 41 <br />IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Councilmember Randle noted he met with Ben Phillips on July 7, 2018. He represents St. 44 <br />Anthony Villagers for Equity and Community. Mr. Phillips brought Councilmember Randle up 45 <br />to date on what the group has been doing. They are having a collaboration with Dare 2 Be Real 46 <br />7
