City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 24, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> 2 <br />VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. 3 <br /> 4 <br />A. Liquor Operations Mid-Year Report. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mr. Mike Larson, Liquor Operations Manager, provided a PowerPoint presentation of the Liquor 7 <br />Operations Mid-Year Report. He reviewed the locations, Mission Statement, Vision Statement, 8 <br />the Value of Municipal Liquor Operation Revenue, Trends through June 2018, 2018 Sales 9 <br />Projection, 2018 Net Income Projection, 2018 Sales Comparison, Sunday Sales 2018 10 <br />Accomplishments, and Looking Ahead – 2018. Mr. Larson referred to the website where the 11 <br />event calendar, monthly specials, product requests, store hours, contact information, notify me, 12 <br />email, and text alerts can be found. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Managers Kevin Morelli and Bill Haugen were also present at the meeting. Mr. Larson thanked 15 <br />City Clerk Nicole Miller for her assistance on the website. Mr. Larson explained the upcoming 16 <br />loyalty program and stated the entire report will be available on the City website. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Mayor Faust thanked Mr. Larson for his report. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Councilmember Stille stated it has been a rough couple of years with many changes. 21 <br /> 22 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 23 <br /> 24 <br />City Manager Casey stated in the past with street projects, there has been street project education 25 <br />events that gives residents the opportunity to learn how projects are done. This year’s event will 26 <br />be held on August 15, 2018 at 5 p.m. on the corner of Foss Road and Chandler. 27 <br /> 28 <br />An Open House for the 27th Avenue and Pahl Traffic Study was held on Monday, July 16, and 29 <br />the PowerPoint presentation from that Open House is available on the City’s website. As a result, 30 <br />WSB will continue to do the analysis and present their findings at an upcoming information 31 <br />meeting – date TBD. The final report and recommendations will be presented to Council. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mr. Casey mentioned two police officers were dispatched to a possible suicide in progress when 34 <br />the caller saw a posting on Facebook and called 911. The officers had to do a forced entry, 35 <br />knocked down the door, removed the hanging victim, and performed the necessary first aid. He 36 <br />noted this is another example of outstanding work by the Police Department. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Councilmember Randle stated he and Councilmember Stille attending Coffee with the Council 39 <br />on July 14 at Autumn Woods. One item brought forward was the fact the City does not test an 40 <br />individual’s water. The City tests water as a City, but not on an individual level. City Manager 41 <br />Casey stated he will follow-up on that matter. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Mayor Faust stated every two years, water is checked within selected homes for lead. Concerned 44 <br />residents could contact the Public Works Department. Councilmember Randle stated it was more 45 <br />of a curiosity than a concern. 46 <br />9
