St. Anthony Village Parks Commission: <br />The City of St. Anthony Village Parks Commission directly advises city staff and officials regarding the public <br />parks system and all public recreational facilities in the City. The Commission assists with long-range planning <br />for parks’ use as well as sustainability of our current infrastructure regarding recreational facilities in the City. <br />Student must be a St. Anthony Village Resident. Participation in Students in Government preferred. Typically <br />meets on the first Monday in the months of September, November, January, and March at 7:00 p.m. in the <br />Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> <br />St. Anthony Village Planning Commission: <br />The City of St. Anthony Village Planning Commission prepares and maintains the city’s Comprehensive Plan (a <br />document that outlines long-range plans for managing the growth of the community) and advises the City <br />Council on matters regarding implementation of the Comprehensive Plan. The commission also conducts public <br />hearings and makes recommendations to the City Council on proposed changes affecting city zoning and land <br />use. Student must be a St. Anthony Village Resident. Participation in Students in Government preferred. <br />Typically meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />St. Anthony Village Sister City Board: <br />The Sister City program in St. Anthony Village started in 1985 when a relationship with Salo, Finland, was <br />conceived. Sister City is a non-profit organization which works to develop programs between the two countries. <br />The past activities include, visits to and from Finland by city officials, teacher exchange, Choir visits, Youth art <br />exchange, Dance group visits, Orchestra involvement with Finnish composer, to name just a few.
