City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />October 9, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution 2 <br />18-069; a Resolution Certifying Special Assessments for Delinquent Waste Hauler Accounts to 3 <br />the 2019 Ramsey County Tax Rolls. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Motion carried 4-0. 6 <br /> 7 <br />E. Quarterly Goals Update. 8 <br /> 9 <br />City Manager Casey provided the City Council with a quarterly update on the sixty actions steps 10 <br />created as a result of the annual strategic planning session. He provided detail on a number of the 11 <br />actions. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Councilmember Stille stated a lot more things other than on the list, are done on a daily basis. He 14 <br />saw the new fire truck and it is very impressive. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Councilmember Jenson highlighted out of the 60 goals, there are 60 measurable items that are in 17 <br />process. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Faust noted house checks for residents out of town is a big deal and an added service to 20 <br />the residents. 21 <br /> 22 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 23 <br /> 24 <br />City Manager Casey stated the newsletter is mailed and available on-line. City Manager Casey 25 <br />thanked the fire department for their work on the Open House. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Councilmember Jenson stated on October 1, he attended the work session to review the traffic 28 <br />study presented by the City Engineer and the capital budget was reviewed. On October 3, he 29 <br />attended the respectful workforce training. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Councilmember Stille also attended the October 1 work session. He noted the school zone speed 32 <br />is being decreased. He also attended the respectful workforce training on October 3, which was 33 <br />also for all City Staff. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Councilmember Randle also attended the October 1 and October 3 sessions. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Faust stated on September 26, he attended the Minnesota Municipal Beverage 38 <br />Association with the Liquor Operations Manager. Mayor Faust also attended the October 1 and 3 39 <br />work sessions. He attended the Open House on October 6 and thanked Walter’s for participating 40 <br />and City Staff for the Big Rig event. 41 <br /> 42 <br />VIII.
