CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 1 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 OCTOBER 23, 2018 3 4 CALL TO ORDER. 5 6 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 8 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 10 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 12 ROLL CALL. 13 14 Present: Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Randle and Stille. 15 Absent: None 16 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Police Chief Mangseth, Police Officer Gerbino, Public 17 Works Director Jay Hartman, GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog, and Finance 18 Director Shelly Rueckert. 19 20 21 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 22 ITEMS. 23 24 I. APPROVAL OF OCTOBER 23, 2018 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 25 26 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 27 Council Meeting Agenda of October 23, 2018 as presented. 28 29 Motion carried 5-0. 30 31 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 32 33 A.Swearing in of St. Anthony Village Police Officer James Gerbino.34 35 Police Chief Mangseth introduced Police Officer James Gerbino. He is the newest Police Officer 36 with the St. Anthony Police Department. Chief Mangseth provided Officer Gerbino’s 37 background. Mayor Faust conducted the swearing in of Police Officer James Gerbino. Mayor 38 Faust noted Officer Gerbino was selected out of 32 applicants. 39 40 B.GreenCorp Presentation by Minette Saulog41 42 Public Works Director Jay Hartman provided background of the GreenCorp program and 43 introduced Minette Saulog. 44 45 Ms. Saulog provided a PowerPoint presentation and gave a brief background of the program and 46 herself. Her four topics areas are Waste Reduction, Recycling & Organics Management, 47 Community Readiness and Outreach, Green Infrastructure Improvements, and Air Pollutant 48 1
