The adjacent community review process is a mandatory 6
months, per state statute (unless all comments are received prior to that). Adjacent community review
includes all adjacent communities, Hennepin and Ramsey Counties, Three Rivers Park District,
Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, MnDOT, and the DNR.
For More Information. See the plan’s web page for a list of public comments with responses, a
summary of key strategies from the public engagement process, and to see packets from
Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee meetings. You can also view the Draft Comprehensive Plan.
Recommendation. This robust planning process has been designed to meet the deadline for submission
of an approved plan to the Metropolitan Council by December 31, 2018. Staff recommends that the City
Council approve the St. Anthony 2040 Comprehensive Plan and authorize submission to the
Metropolitan Council for formal action. Once formal action has been taken by the Met Council, the plan
will return to the City Council for adoption and implementation.
28
