City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />November 27, 2018 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br />City Manager Casey reviewed Council is requested to consider a resolution designating the 1 <br />following polling places for the 2019 election year: 2 <br /> 3 <br />Hennepin Precinct 1 – Autumn Woods 2600 Kenzie Terrace 4 <br />Hennepin Precinct 2 – St. Anthony Community Center 3301 Silver Lake Road 5 <br />Ramsey Precinct 1 – Legends at Silver Lake Village 2500 38th Avenue NE 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Faust thanked Chandler Place for their support in being a polling place for Ramsey 8 <br />County. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Resolution 11 <br />18-079; a Resolution Designating Polling Places for the 2019 Election Year. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 14 <br /> 15 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 16 <br /> 17 <br />City Manager Casey reported he attended the Dare to Be Real Courageous Conversation Meeting 18 <br />along with the Mayor and some Councilmembers. He thanked the Police and Fire Department 19 <br />personnel that attended. At the last Council Meeting, Liquor Manager Larson announced the new 20 <br />loyalty program and to date 1700 people have signed up. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Councilmember Randle reported he attended the Courageous Conversation on November 14, 23 <br />2018. On Thursday, November 15, 2018 he attended the Students in Government event. On 24 <br />Tuesday, November 19, 2018 he attended the Council Work Session. Councilmember Randle 25 <br />noted at the November 14, 2018 meeting, there was a statement made by SAVEC a few meetings 26 <br />ago. He was part of SAVEC in the past and now he is the Council liaison to SAVEC. He stated 27 <br />the statement did not reflect SAVEC as a whole. It was discouraging. He was not aware the 28 <br />statement was being made and he does not agree with the statement. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Councilmember Jenson stated on November 14, he attended the Comprehensive Plan review and 31 <br />on November 15 he attended the Students in Government meeting. He attended the Sustainability 32 <br />Fair on November 18 and on November 19, he attended the Council Work Session. On 33 <br />November 26, he attended the St. Anthony Fire Department Relief Association Meeting. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Councilmember Stille also attended the last Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee Meeting 36 <br />on November 14, the Student in Government meeting on November 15, and the Emergency 37 <br />Management Work Session on November 19. There were 35 people in attendance. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Councilmember Gray attended the Dare to be Real event. He participated in the Students in 40 <br />Government and the Sustainability Fair. He also attended the Emergency Management exercise. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Mayor Faust stated he attended all of those events/meetings also. He stated the Sustainability 43 <br />Fair was a great effort with many attendees and participating groups. Mayor Faust stated the 44 <br />Emergency Management exercise was informative and he noted that it is manned 24 hours a 45 <br />day/365 days a year. He commended the Staff and the Council on all the events held recently. 46 <br />6
