City Council HRA Meeting Minutes <br />December 11, 2018 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />$250,000, retain consultants as necessary for due diligence actions (such as a survey and Phase I 1 <br />environmental review), and customary closing costs. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Commissioner Stille stated the funds for this are in the TIF pooling and Mr. Casey agreed. 4 <br />Commissioner Stille asked who Mr. Casey would be working with on this. Mr. Casey stated he 5 <br />will be working with City legal real estate attorneys and WSB. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Motion by Commissioner Gray, seconded by Commissioner Jenson, to approve Resolution 2018-8 <br />05; a Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Property Located at 3803 Stinson. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Chair Faust noted this property is a strip mall on 39th and Stinson in the southeast corner with a 11 <br />gas station. It has been vacant for a while and was seized by the Federal Government. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Commissioner Stille stated that $250,000 seems like a reasonable number and this purchase 14 <br />makes sense from a valuation perspective of what he has seen. Mr. Casey noted this has been 15 <br />done in the past by Council. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Commissioner Randle stated this is necessary and is good for the City. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Chair Faust stated this area was included in the PUD and has been planned on for a dozen years. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 22 <br /> 23 <br />V.
