City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 22, 2019 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 2 <br /> 3 <br />D. Designation of St. Anthony as a SolSmart Community. 4 <br /> 5 <br />GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog provided a PowerPoint presentation on St. Anthony Village 6 <br />SolSmart Designation. She reviewed what the SolSmart Program is, and Program Outcomes. Ms. 7 <br />Saulog provided the advantages to the City in being a SolSmart Community. The St. Anthony 8 <br />website has been updated showing solar initiatives. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Councilmember Jenson asked how Ms. Saulog heard of this program. Ms. Saulog stated it was 11 <br />passed on from Breanne Rothstein the city’s former Planner. Councilmember Jenson asked about 12 <br />the ratings and what differentiates the different levels. Ms. Saulog stated she does not know the 13 <br />exact requirements for each and believes it is a further expansion of the bronze level. The City 14 <br />has most everything required for the bronze level. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Councilmember Randle noted there is no cost for technical assistance. There would be costs for 17 <br />permits and actual materials. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Councilmember Stille suggested including the background of the solar ordinance in response to a 20 <br />commercial need in the industrial area of the City. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to designate St. Anthony 23 <br />Village as a SolSmart Community and direct staff to continue working the process. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 26 <br /> 27 <br />E. GreenCorp Update. 28 <br /> 29 <br />GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog provided a PowerPoint presentation recapping her first 30 <br />quarter with the city. In her Quarter 1 Update, she reviewed the October Tech Dump and Fix-It 31 <br />Clinic, November Sustainability Fair, Organics Drop-Off Site, Website Updates, Other 32 <br />Involvements, Upcoming Projects, and Upcoming Events. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Councilmember Gray commended Ms. Saulog on what she has accomplished in three months. 35 <br />Councilmember Jenson stated he appreciates her enthusiasm. Councilmember Stille stated her 36 <br />work is very appreciated. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Faust stated he and his wife listened to Ms. Saulog on the radio and added she’s doing a 39 <br />great job. 40 <br /> 41 <br />VII.
