Parks Commission Regular Meeting Minutes <br />December 3, 2018 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br />VII. COMMISSION REPORTS. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Ms. Webster provided an update on the construction of the outdoor classroom. She thanked 4 <br />public works for their help on digging the post holes. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Dr. Palmer announced the next school board meeting will be held on December 4 at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br />The Open Forum for residents to address the School Board begins at 6:00 p.m. and the annual 8 <br />Truth in Taxation session will be held at 6:30 p.m. The Wilshire Park new construction is near 9 <br />completion. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Chair Bentz stated he attended the Sustainability Fair and was very impressed by the 12 <br />attendance and exhibitors. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Commissioner Jordahl Redlin agreed the Sustainability Fair was very fun. She added the 15 <br />Outdoor Classroom and new gym at Wilshire Park are awesome. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Jeremy Gumke reported building improvements to the Central Park pavilion have been 18 <br />completed. The perimeter fencing around the Organics Recycling area should be completed 19 <br />shortly. Applications for skating warming house attendants are being accepted. The rinks will 20 <br />hopefully be open by Christmas. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Commissioner Jordahl Redlin asked about the hours for the Organics Recycling and Mr. 23 <br />Gumke stated he did not know. She has received questions from residents near Central Park 24 <br />regarding the bio-filtration maintenance plan. Mr. Gumke stated the City does maintenance 25 <br />around the perimeter. Some education outreach may be helpful. 26 <br /> 27 <br />VIII. OTHER BUSINESS. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Commissioner Jordahl Redlin recognized Chair Scott Bentz for six years of service on the 30 <br />Parks Commission. 31 <br /> 32 <br />IX. COMMUNITY FORUM – NONE. 33 <br /> 34 <br />X.
