City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 22, 2019 <br />Page 6 <br />2 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />4 D. Designation of St. Anthony as a SolSmart Community. <br />6 GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog provided a PowerPoint presentation on St. Anthony Village <br />7 SolSmart Designation. She reviewed what the SolSmart Program is, and Program Outcomes. Ms. <br />8 Saulog provided the advantages to the City in being a SolSmart Community. The St. Anthony <br />9 website has been updated showing solar initiatives. <br />10 <br />11 Councilmember Jenson asked how Ms. Saulog heard of this program. Ms. Saulog stated it was <br />12 passed on from Breanne Rothstein the city's former Planner. Councilmember Jenson asked about <br />13 the ratings and what differentiates the different levels. Ms. Saulog stated she does not know the <br />14 exact requirements for each and believes it is a further expansion of the bronze level. The City <br />15 has most everything required for the bronze level. <br />16 <br />17 Councilmember Randle noted there is no cost for technical assistance. There would be costs for <br />18 permits and actual materials. <br />19 <br />20 Councilmember Stille suggested including the background of the solar ordinance in response to a <br />21 commercial need in the industrial area of the City. <br />22 <br />23 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to designate St. Anthony <br />24 Village as a SolSmart Community and direct staff to continue working the process. <br />25 <br />26 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />27 <br />28 E. GreenCorp Update. <br />29 <br />30 GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog provided a PowerPoint presentation recapping her first <br />31 quarter with the city. In her Quarter 1 Update, she reviewed the October Tech Dump and Fix -It <br />32 Clinic, November Sustainability Fair, Organics Drop -Off Site, Website Updates, Other <br />33 Involvements, Upcoming Projects, and Upcoming Events. <br />34 <br />35 Councilmember Gray commended Ms. Saulog on what she has accomplished in three months. <br />36 Councilmember Jenson stated he appreciates her enthusiasm. Councilmember Stille stated her <br />37 work is very appreciated. <br />38 <br />39 Mayor Faust stated he and his wife listened to Ms. Saulog on the radio and added she's doing a <br />40 greatjob. <br />41 <br />42 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />43 <br />44 City Manager Casey had no report. <br />45 <br />
